Hi Area
The overal length of the bulb I have just measured from a set was 36.80 mm
The gap between the contacts was33 mm
Hope this helps, when you find a decent led replacement then please let me know.

Hi you may find that the LED indicators will not flash as they should ...due to there being little current being used you may have to fit a LED flasher .

Sinclair c5 led indicators
The led indicators all work ok if link doesn't work just search
YouTube sinclair c5 led indicators
You will have to change the relay for an led relay
But I think they work ok and there is no reley clicking
This now leaves me one more thing to try and that is to tune the
Motor when I get 5 minuets
I can tell you how to do it it may work or it may not
But worth a try on an old motor
You can't change the speed by wire size or turns
All this does in change the voltage
But what you can do is rotate the brush endshield
The best way to do this is to drill out the resin between the magnets
File off the endshield locating tabs both ends put the motor back together
And rotate the mag pack to increase the speed all you need at a guess is about 5 mm rotation and make
Sure the speed increases anticlockwise
I havn't tried this yet but it is worth a try some motors use
A motor to rotate the brush gear to increase
The speed we used to do this on radio control motors and it worked
You may increase the speed but loose the torque but like I say worth a shot

LED flasher units are available in ebay.uk, most of them are solid state units i.e. no mechanical relay, dirt cheap.
