Hi I started this restoration a few months ago but put it on hold as I had a c5 to restore for a member

So here it is beaing restored starting with the body

Also has anyone seen this label on a C5






Ok now started the clean up














As you can see its come up very nice but a lot of elbow grease but wort it .

Okay Chas, what's your secret cleaning solution. I have not been able to find a product named"elbow grease" here in the states! Previously I used a bleach abrasive product call Soft Scrub. But, my results were no where near as good as yours.

Elbow Grease is an idiom for working hard at manual labor. It is a humorous reflection of the fact that some tasks can only be achieved by hard effort and human energy, contrasting with the idea that there should be some special oil, tool or chemical product to make the job easier.

I always keep a jar of the stuff under my kitchen sink.

Hi here as you can see that I checked out the harness control. Box and the pod before fitting the cable as it worked out all seems to be ok but as we know it will a few tests runs .anyway photos here

Yes, I was having you on, a bit. But, I'm serious about how to get such great results with my plastic body. I was thinking of pàinting it until I saw how yours turned out.

Hi there Charlie ok I need some more so I know where to find it thanks .
Anyway all I use is White CIF cream cleaner and dish washer sponge cleaners ...if there are some stubbin marks I use a very fine sand paper 500 grit ... Then use a higher grit ,

Well the harness seem to be ok so fitted it into the tube on



Started to connecting the wiring up for the the indicators and the horn





Temporary conected the indicators to check to see if they work ...also connected the hazard warning switch

Everything checked out ok so on with the build


Also fitted a horn and one of my hazard warning mods

Startted on the indicators

















Now checking the indicators with my hazard warning switch Andrzej as You will ser them arę working great








As the indicators arę working i fitted two small bleepers the come on when the indicators arę on .

So next thing is the chassis build up.







Herę is the hub its an 8 speed






Herę is the gearing that i must chainge to Work what i want .(4 lower then 4 above the standed C5 rangę )

Started to check it to mąkę sure it is working

OK nów for getting the gearing as i want it





Just fitted some old wheel so that i can check the the gearing ..after a while i managed to get what i wanted (4 speeds lower and 4 above the standed C5 gearing ) by chainging the front sprocket to a smaler one also fitted a larger one on the hub

Right all sems to be ok so started fitting the front wheel ..

Hi thanks it was just something i put togeather for my sons bikes

Fitted the body to the frame now it's time to connect the the handle bar push buttons gear twist grip then connect the twist grip cable to the hub
All of the above has now been done as you will see






Motor large drive cog + new 18mm belt fitted






The gear cable fitted to the hub and now working here are the results


On a standed C5 The pedals go round once and the wheels go around twice ....
But with the hub on gear 1 the pedals go around once and the wheels go around 1.10 times
: : : :: 2 1.25. Times
3. 1.5. Times
4. 1.6. Times
5. 2.0. Times
So on and so on

Control box wired up and tested ....









Next thing will be the back bar + the wheel trims will need cleaning then fitting a back brake light .

Looks like you´re going to town with the accessories and mods on this one It´s a very neat restoration, well done!

Now working on the back brake light










Now just got to fit it the bulb in the rear reflector ...

As you will see in the first photo I have put the LED light in the reflector and switch on the lights .
